Thermal Screed, composed of natural aggregates with high thermal power, meets the various needs of modern construction, encompassing two basic functions:
1) Thermal insulation;
2) Sound insulation;
In fact, by casting a 3 cm thickness of Thermal Screed on the roof, after placement of fiberglass mesh, we obtain a slab with thermo-acoustic character; also of relevant importance is the low specific weight of the product, which allows the renovation of old buildings without aggravating their structure.
The advantages of Thermal Screed extend to other important applications, in fact it can be used:
- as a filler preparation for underlayment and subsequent bonding of parquet and other floor coverings;
- between floors under flooring;
- to abate falling and trampling noises;
- to thermally insulate dwellings above porches;
- to form thermal slabs against moisture under floors and on the ground floor.
Since the product is thixotropic, it lends itself well to thermally insulate terraces with dwellings below.The thixotropic character favors the laying of the material, allowing the desired slopes to be achieved.
The Thermal Screed is a ready-mixed insulating compound to be added with pozzolanic cement and water at the time of use.
The mass mixed and cast at high thicknesses over floors, before flooring, is suitable for forming thermal-acoustic slabs.
