Insulation is one of the pivotal issues in creating high-performance buildings with high living comfort with low environmental impact and a high level of energy savings. Insulating a building with technology that is up to the task is a fundamental step in ensuring the longevity of the building itself, which, in this way, is protected from environmental agents while reducing maintenance efforts.

A special type of exterior insulation is Prodema ventilated facades or walls, a perimeter cladding applied to the facade of buildings that does not match it but creates a cavity (2 to 20 cm) capable of conveying the natural passage of air in all seasons. The "chimney" effect that is created - related to the different atmospheric pressure between inside and outside - leads to a circulation of air from the bottom to the top and a consequent insulation of the building, which is protected from degradation related to humidity and weathering.

Ventilated facades can be applied to any type of building, both private and public. Particularly suitable for warding off the risk of aggression from industrial, urban and marine atmospheres, it is perfect for maximizing overall thermal comfort, thanks to the heat and moisture taken from the masonry wall by the circulatory movement of air.
